Nowadays you can find more and more store bands producing their
own products that closely resemble the products of the leading
brands but are of a much lesser price. Same with diapers.
America's choice and Shoprite supermarket offers you their
diapers that quality wise can compete with the leading brand
diapers such as Pampers, Huggies or Luvs. However they are sold
only in SuperFresh and ShopRite grocery stores. In this section
we are going to discuss Shoprite's training diapers for girls.
Initially your reaction to the diaper might be: "Wow, cute
looking, but extremely thin and lacks softness." Don't put this
diaper away yet. Let your child wear it and you will see that is
is very good in liquid absorption and in sealing out wetness. It
is also wide and big, comfortably stretchy and easy to change.
Lets evaluate this diaper's features one by one.

First of all looks of this diaper are quite great. Usually
diapers are decorated with sesame street or Disney cartoon
characters and this is becoming quite boring. Shoprite training
pants for girls, for example, are colorful, have a lovely
ladybug on the front, little butterflies on the bottom and
numbers, fruits and flowers all over. It is creative, fun and
beautiful. The butterflies, however, fade (or become a violet
stain) as soon as the diaper gets wet because they are wetness
indicators. Fitti is the other diaper that we saw has wetness
indicator. At the stage when babies learn to wear diaper as
underwear and wetness indicators might not be necessary. This
diaper looks almost like panties.
Secondly,
this diaper has extremely elastic super wide side and front
flaps as well as waistline, so that your child would not feel
any constraint in her movements. The side tabs are made of a
special material that stretches as much as you want and they
come pre-stick and of course that's why it is called pants. You
can also adjust the width of the diaper because it has great
refastening tabs. There is no need, however, to change the width
of the diaper if you buy the rite size because it is very
elastic and it fits well for tinier and bigger babies. If you
make diaper to tighter, the side flaps will kind of hang there
and will feel awkward.
Another admirable feature of this diaper is that it
can be easily put on or pulled off like panties or it can be
unfastened on the sides if you are changing child on the
changing table. also if diaper is soiled it makes the entire
change easier.
And finally
the sponge factor of the diaper is great. It doesn't seem so if
you just look at it because it looks too thin, however diaper is
very absorbing and the inner layer seals out wetness very well
while leaving a dry feeling, so your baby feel comfortable. This
diaper can also be used overnight because it is well absorbing
therefore less likely to cause diaper rash, it is comfortable
and light (thinner diapers are great for toddlers).
One
suggestion only for diaper makers: the front that goes on baby's
belly could be softer. Also the surface of the dry diaper feels
grainy in places so the additional soft layer would help. A good
diaper after all, for a good price!
